I’m still crunching through some other quotes on the matter, but wanted to save Cory Doctorow’s bit about automation being uplifting from here:

Democratizing access to the means of production isn’t intrinsically anti-labor – it’s only bad for workers when the bounty of automation is disproportionally allocated to a small number of capital owners, and not workers.”
I don’t see why this same thing doesn’t potentially apply to AI generated content.
