Isn’t the Mandela Effect like, literally, people just refusing to believe they’re wrong about how they remember something?
Don’t get me wrong, it’s still fun. In one way, maybe even moreso for that being the “real” underlying reason. We’ll do anything to prove we are not and physically could not be wrong.
